Jared Repka's annual Beer Breakfast, founded 13 years ago and growing every year, will offer more beer and breakfast foods for a cause from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 28.
Held at downtown St. Pete hotspot The Mandarin Hide, the no cover-charge tradition will donate its proceeds to Tampa Bay Watch, which received $8,000 from the event last year and is headquartered in Tierra Verde.
During past Beer Breakfasts, raffles were featured, and Repka crafted custom T-shirts for featured organizations such as Suncoast Hospice, the Children's Dream Fund and Florida West Ballet.
Early risers can expect the event's signature spread of morning grub, including bagels and cream cheese, sweet breads and doughnuts, alongside Mandarin Hide beer specials, pancake shots, Irish breakfast shots and a Bloody Mary bar.
Repka said guests also contribute their own items to the breakfast feast, and that he's looking to feature made-to-order fare from a "breakfast burrito dude."
