In case you missed it last year, Tampa’s Comic Bar Crawl arrives — once again — whether you want it to or not (but admit it, you kinda want it to, right?) and this year they're capitalizing on all this Area 51 — can we call it fun? Sure, let's call it fun — fun.

They're going all alien this year (not illegals, but, you know, the little green guys — although, in all probability, we'd put them in cages, too, because, well, 'Murica, y'all) so expect some alien theming, and the organizers want you to come dressed like you're gonna save the planet — or, you know, destroy it (prize for best costume). Up to you, really.

Your ticket includes a free welcome shot at each bar (four in all), a ride on the party bus (those Pan-Galactic Gargle Blasters hit you hard), a shotgun beer, raffle entry and local swag.

The crawl starts August 3, and begins at American Social, 6-7:30 p.m.; Yeoman's Cask and Lion, 7:30-9 p.m.; Zydeco Brew Werks, 9-10:30 p.m.; and Franklin Manor, 10:30-12 p.m. Get your tickets here but if you have an August birthday, this one's on them.
