Fans are worried that The Rays might split the season with Montreal, but it looks like Tropicana Field is doubling down with it comes to new attractions for baseball fans. Last month, boozy dessert spot Beans & Barlour announced a new a shop within the Trop, featuring a new menu with specialized treats like a Cracker Jack milkshake.

Over the weekend, Stephen Schrutt, founder and CEO of Hunger + Thirst Group, told Instagram that BallPark & Rec—which opened at the Trop in 2018—is expanding into a two-story full-service restaurant with multiple bars, TVs, along with indoor arcade games and outdoor lawn games. The expanded digs can be accessed via Gate 7 before first pitch to help fans avoid the crowds while enjoying Rays-themed drinks like the Fro-Rays, Sunburst Lemonade Pouch and Every-berry loves Raymond

"We are the official pre-game party and the place to be before, during and after all home games," Schrutt wrote. His other concepts—The Avenue, Park & Rec DTSP, Park & Rec TPA, and No Vacancy—are known as gathering spots where fans catch watch games while playing a round of big Jenga, drinking adult Capri Suns and loading up on eats.

The 2020 Ray's season kicks off on March 26 with a game against the Pittsburg Pirates, and these new concepts at the Trop might just boost attendance.
