Those who frequent Bavaro's in St. Petersburg can now look forward to chowing down on brunch. The weekend service is offered at the Neapolitan pizzeria and pastaria's flagship restaurant in downtown Tampa, but it's a new addition to the EDGE District location from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.

"After rigorous testing, our Executive Chef Logan Canavan and veteran Pizzaiolo Nick Cacciatore have created an Italian inspired brunch menu we think will resonate with our guests," founder Dan Bavaro said in a statement. "It's a simple but bold menu that diners should enjoy."

Menu items include the Farro Power Bowl, Italian eggs, frittata and amaretto pancakes, alongside traditional Southern-style options like shrimp and grits or biscuits and gravy — with an Italian spin, of course. There's even a carbonara pizza featuring whipped eggs and a mattina pizza topped with mozzarella, potatoes and leeks.

Even better? The 9-year-old Bavaro's — which is coming up on its 10th anniversary and operates three locations, with a fourth set to open in Sarasota over the summer — has rolled out a lineup of specialty cocktails in both St. Pete and Tampa as well.

The Italian Greyhound (Cardamaro, house grapefruit cordial and soda) and Byrrh e Birra, a beertail made with Byrrh, Birra Moretti and Sprite, are among the options.
