Beach farmers’ market debuts summer hours, others embrace Easter Credit: The Beach Markets

Wednesday morning, the Mid-Week Madeira Beach Open Air Market started operating on its summer hours schedule. The weekly farmers' market takes place 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesdays.

Between Gulf Boulevard and the Tom Stuart Causeway along Madeira Way is where locals and visitors will find the market, which offers goods from local farmers, gourmet food-makers, artists and more.

The market, part of the Beach Markets family alongside the Indian Shores Sunday Morning Market, goes on hiatus during August and September, picking back up each year in October.

Nearby, the Indian Shores market at 19305 Gulf Blvd. announced its bounty will continue to be showcased 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, in conjunction with the Easter holiday.

"Given the exceptional number of requests, we've elected to keep the Market open for Easter," said operations manager Laura Garrison in a press release.

Like its Madeira sibling, the Indian Shores affair, running through May, is kid- and pup-friendly.

St. Pete Beach's Corey Avenue Sunday Market will also be open 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Easter Sunday between Boca Ciega Avenue and Gulf Boulevard (on Corey Avenue, of course).

Sunday, April 19, though, the market will be closed due to an art show on the street.
