Twenty places across the country were picked for their "exceptional beer bars, gastropubs, craft breweries and a thriving beer culture." Tampa's beer scene, which placed second in last year's competition, is described as offering award-winning beers and newer breweries that are getting people's attention.
Cigar City Brewing, Tampa Bay Brewing Company, Angry Chair Brewing and Coppertail Brewing Co. are all mentioned.
Online voting for the Best Beer Scene title continues until noon Feb. 29. At the time of publication, Tampa was ranked No. 5.
