St. Petersburg’s very, very, very, very good Latin food stand, Bodega has outgrown its home at 1120 Central Ave. and has decided to move… a few hundred feet up the street.

According to the Tampa Bay Times, Bodega, which serves at least one dish newcomers must eat to call themselves a local, is moving into the building occupied by Mis en Chic antiques store (1180 Central Ave.).

George Sayegh, who opened Bodega with his wife, Debbie, told the paper that his restaurant actually outgrew the space “five years ago,” but never had the opportunity to stay on the block. Sayegh said the new spot will have inside seating and a better kitchen.

The Sayeghs said they hope to complete construction in the new space by May.
