On Wednesday, March 18, Book + Bottle is set to open in downtown St. Pete. In a time where the coronavirus is forcing restaurants and bars to limit hours, occupancy and even temporarily close, Book + Bottle's opening is bittersweet. The new book and wine bar posted on social media with a message to the community.

"The bright side of opening a business this week is that books and wine are both wonderful entertainment in self-quarantine[..] Come see the space and grab a bottle and a book to help you survive your isolation. We are diligently following WHO, CDC, and City of St. Pete protocol in terms of our business practices – closing at/before 9 p.m., no gatherings over 50 people, and only operating at 50% of our normal occupancy."

The concept's post goes on to say it is encouraging touch-free exchanges, as well as cleaning constantly and disinfecting thoroughly. "It's a brand new space, and sparkling clean, and maybe the charm of it will make you smile a bit."⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Not wanting to leave self-quarantine? B+B is offering to ship and deliver books or wine, or both, to your door. You can also call ahead and have an employee walk your purchase outside of the shop for pickup. Find a safe way to welcome the new wine and book bar to town.

Book + Bottle opens March 18 at 10 a.m. at 17 6th St. N. in St. Petersburg.
