Ah, ravioli. Who doesn’t dig these pasta pockets that commercial and home kitchens stuff to perfection with all kinds of fillings — from spinach to lamb?
To honor the timeless dish on a grander scale (and give it the recognition it deserves), participating Brio Tuscan Grille locations — including the one at Tampa’s International Plaza — plan to highlight a celebratory offer for National Ravioli Day, which is observed on March 20.
“What better way is there to celebrate this delicious dish, which has been revered for hundreds of years, than by offering our guests this special promotion?” said Alison Peters, chef and culinary director for Brio, in a statement.
The promotion allows dine-in guests to purchase a ravioli entree and take another one home free of charge. Options are the one-off lobster and shrimp ravioli featuring spicy black pepper cream, spinach and grape tomatoes, or the mushroom ravioli di bello, a regular Brio item with tomatoes and Champagne brown butter.
Both dishes are available while supplies last, and Ravioli Day reservations are recommended.
