Craving another fruit themed event now that strawberry festival season has come to an end?

The sixth annual Brooksville Watermelon Festival takes over the Hernando County Fairgrounds next weekend, featuring fresh watermelon from Batten Family Farms alongside over 200 vendors.

The festival is celebrating all things watermelon, with watermelon-themed snacks, as well as art, jewelry, and other handmade goods, plus line dancing and contests. There will also be a kid zone and petting zoos.

There is no cover for the Brooksville Watermelon Festival happening Saturday June 13.
