Keeping pace with CL's food trend predictions for 2015, MyFitnessPal, the popular calorie counter app, released its own data on seven foods and beverages that were in last year.
Comparing users' grub entries from January to November in 2013 and 2014, according to a news release, the app determined matcha, chia seeds and kombucha saw increased consumption.
Brussels sprouts, up 224 percent, topped the app's stats, though. They even surpassed kale, which rose 50 percent.
"Will Beyonce sport an ode to this veggie her new video?" MyFitnessPal asked.
We hope so. It's either that, or kalettes, those funky Brussels sprouts-kale hybrids.
Here's the full list of items that experienced a surge:
Brussels sprouts – up 224 percent
Matcha – up 66 percent
Chia seeds – up 52 percent
Kale – up 50 percent
Kombucha – up 38 percent
Quinoa – up 30 percent
