Bubbakoo’s Burritos, a build-your-own-burrito concept, is bringing more Mexican-fusion cuisine to Riverview.

The chain’s newest location sits at 3940 U.S. Hwy-301 S in Riverview and is open daily 11 a.m.- 9 p.m.

A grand opening event will follow in the future. Customers must wear a mask upon entering the restaurant and all state COVID-19 rules are followed. Employees are educated on proper use of masks they’re provided each shift. Manager Eric Swinson told Creative Loafing Tampa Bay that all tables and bathrooms are disinfected every 30 minutes.

The popular chain was founded in 2008 by industry vets Bill Hart and Paul Altero, sharing a vision focused on customer service and allowing customers to completely customize their entrees with fresh ingredients. Hart and Altero’s restaurant industry experience began with corporate stints at Johnny Rockets back in the late ‘90’s.

Outside of its food endeavors, Bubbakoo’s dedicates itself to community service in areas surrounding their locations. The team launched a school program called “Read It To Eat It” where students read five books in exchange for a free student meal. So far, hundreds of teachers have signed up and, with the help of Bubbakoo’s, incentivized learning and education.

“Opening our first Florida location is so exciting! Our team is thrilled to break into this new market and to introduce Bubbakoo’s to new communities” says Hart.
