- Cafe Bohemia is getting new owners.
Neal posted this message on Facebook:
"To all my friends: In less than a week the cafe will take on new owners. I want to say thank you to all the wonderful people that have come into my life and enriched me and supported this endeavor over the years. This has been an intensely bittersweet decision for me, albeit a necessary one. The cafe has been my one true love and sole commitment for eight and a half years. I powered through the worst economic circumstances in our modern history. I tried to do everything right, run this business with honesty and integrity. And ultimately I am just tired. I would be happy to talk to anyone about recipes or foods they might miss. Soon I will be putting a little recipe book on line. The new owners have assured me they are committed to the same rigor and standards of making I have tried to give all these years. Again, thanks to all who "got it," you made all this hard work worth the effort. I am heading outside to get some fresh air and a new perspective, so please keep in touch. Much love! Matthew Neal"
Cafe Bohemia is throwing a farewell party Thursday, May 31st at 7 p.m.
