CL is a little late to the seven-day party Carvel has put together leading up to the grand reopening of its Palm Harbor location. However, there’s still time to score plenty of celebratory deals.
Under new ownership, Carvel Palm Harbor at 33223 U.S. Highway 19 N. features the ice cream franchise’s colorful, contemporary design, which rolled out in 2014 and includes updated dipping cabinets and a toppings bar. Other additions from franchise partners Pranav Vankawala, Prateek Shrestha and Alice Shrestha are wood-finished floors, a revamped logo and digital menu boards.
“We’re excited to re-open this shoppe and continue offering our great Carvel products to Palm Harbor… I also look forward to meeting and building relationships with the community,” said franchisee Vankawala in a statement.
The shop’s buy-one-get-one offers started last weekend, but there are three left up for grabs. On Thursday, guests who purchase the Carvelanche (ice cream blended with toppings) receive another for $1, and the same goes for Friday’s pomo of the Sundae Dasher (ice cream layered with toppings, sauces and whipped cream).
As for Saturday — when the formal celebration of Carvel Palm Harbor’s grand reopening goes down between noon and 5 p.m. — patrons can expect a free novelty pack, while supplies last, after they buy one themselves. The brand’s venerable character Fudgie the Whale is also set to make an appearance.
With a focus on Florida, Carvel plans to further expand its footprint in Tampa and St. Petersburg, as well as Orlando and Miami. The franchise operates 260-plus locations across New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and the Sunshine State.
