Chicken and sweet potato waffles, shrimp 'n' grits, bourbon-candied bacon and jalapeño cornmeal pancakes will be among the fare at Cask Social Kitchen when it debuts in SoHo Monday, June 15.

At 208 S. Howard Ave., the 279-seat eatery will operate 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday to Wednesday; 11:30 a.m. to 1 a.m. Thursday to Saturday; and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday. Complimentary valet will also be available.

Led by executive chef Jessica Wafford, Cask's menu will highlight a mix of heavy and light Southern-influenced cuisine, including the signature crab and mac cakes, a quinoa veggie burger and the Bird & Berry salad with chicken. Grilled banana bread, cheddar biscuits and stuffed French toast with pecan syrup will be among the items served during Sunday brunch.

In addition to the grub offerings, craft cocktails, local beer and a wide bourbon and whiskey selection will be on hand. The wine list plans to include the Vin-Eighty Three Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon, which pay homage to one of the restaurant's principal partners, Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Vincent Jackson. TJ Miller and Adam Itzkowitz are the other two minds behind the project.

"Our emphasis is on creative Southern food, great cocktails and service with a smile. We're excited for Cask to bring Southern hospitality to SoHo," Miller said in a statement.

With a modern industrial-chic feel, the 5,200-square-foot restaurant will feature a white oak whiskey barrel-adorned wall, a 50-seat speakeasy-style loft lounge, a 20-foot vaulted ceiling patio and more.
