We all eat. Be thoughtful about what you eat by attending the movie Fresh: New Thinking About What We're Eating. It may change your life about what and how you eat.
Some say the movie changed their lives in small or larger ways.
Julie OConnor of Gulfport saw the film in September decided to really check out those eggs shed been thoughtfully purchasing. What did organic, free range, etc., mean to her choice about which eggs to buy? She found that, sadly, chicken farmers practice a version of what Upton Sinclair wrote about in The Jungle, a story about the horrible practices and conditions of the American meat packing industry in the early 1900s.
Julie also discovered a number of St. Petersburg Old Northeast farmers who are legally raising chickens, with their neighbors okay. Thanks to Julie, the farmers and the hens, Im now part of a coop that enjoys eggs laid the day before and getting to know new people with a similar passion about a sustainable planet. You can really taste the difference in the eggs too.
