At 3 p.m. Monday, Feeding Tampa Bay, formerly known as Feeding America Tampa Bay, will host three celebrity chefs at its warehouse near downtown Tampa.
Food Network personality Simon Majumdar, Emily Ellyn, the Food Network's Retro Rad chef, and Whitney Miller, season one winner of Fox's MasterChef, will celebrate Hunger Action Month by preparing fun meal ideas with items from Feeding Tampa Bay's Winn-Dixie Charity Market. The Epicurean Hotel, a partner to the nonprofit and organizer of the Epic Chef Showdown, helped bring the chefs together.
After embarking on a timed shopping spree throughout the food bank, the chefs plan to explain their food pairings, how to create the meals at home, and the dishes' nutritional value to Feeding Tampa Bay agencies and families. CL readers are welcome to attend.
