The culinary-driven Epicurean Hotel at 1207 S Howard Ave. opens its newest (and sweetest) addition when Tampa-based ice cream chain Chill Bros. Scoop Shop debuts its latest location on Dec. 3.
After a fancy dinner at Èlevage SoHo Kitchen & Bar and drinks at the Edge Rooftop Cocktail Lounge, take the elevator back down to the ground floor and get yourself some handmade ice cream.
Boasting artisan flavors and locally-sourced ingredients, Chill Bros. is known for signature ice creams like its cafe con leche chunk, guava pastelito and Tampa banana. Its current fall seasonal flavors include apple pie, oatmeal cookie and fluffer pumpkin (spiced pumpkin ice cream with crispy brown sugar streusel and cinnamon marshmallow fluff), so get them before they phase out. Current vegan flavors—made with oat milk and coconut cream—include mocha latte, double down Oreo, and passionfruit.
Alongside ice cream, expect fresh waffle cones, mix-ins and speciality floats from this latest location.
This is the third Chill Bros. Scoop Shop in Tampa—with its flagship in Ybor City and second location in South Tampa. In addition to its new Epicurean Hotel location, there's another Chill Bros. shop heading to downtown Tampa’s Water Street, at 1011 Cumberland Ave.
The new scoop shop will be open 7 days a week—from noon-9:30 p.m. Monday-Thursday, noon-9 p.m. on Sunday, and noon-11 p.m. Friday-Saturday. And if you don’t have time to visit, there’s always Uber Eats.
It's not the first ice cream shop at Epicurean either. The new Chill Bros. is moving into the same parcel that used to be home to the Bern’s-affiliated Little Midway ice cream concept (don't worry, a Bern's rep said you can still get macadamia nut pints to go at Haven, just a few blocks away).
