Come on, get happy at upcoming Sawgrass Tiki Bar block party

A whole lotta happiness is what Sawgrass Tiki Bar & Tea House plans to serve up during its block party this weekend.

Starting at noon Saturday and ending at midnight Sunday, Sawgrass will host the two-day event in celebration of International Day of Happiness. The Grand Central District bar is St. Petersburg's ambassador for the Sunday holiday, which also coincides with Sawgrass's anniversary.

Throughout the event, all-day happiness sessions will focus on topics like creating tea, aromatherapy and music. A kava ceremony, "mindfulness ceremony" and "being present activities" will also be featured, plus sake sampling, hookah tasting and live music on both days.

The block party will be joined by three neighboring merchants: Frisky Business, Reclaimed and The Looking Glass.
