The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office has barred a high ranking officer from its premises, effective immediately.
That’s according to an internal email obtained by Creative Loafing Tampa Bay.
“… Major Troy Morgan, ABN 3797, is restricted from entering all HCSO facilities,” the email reads.
No other details were provided.
According to his now deleted staff page, Morgan has served the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office since 1994, and has experience in investigations including those involving driving under the influence.
In 2015, WTSP reported that Morgan was part of HCSO’s “Operation 3D,” which deployed a “three dimensional approach to DUI prevention” focused on education, deterrence and enforcement.
This is a developing post, representatives for HCSO have not yet returned requests for comment.
