Isn't $13 a liiittle ridiculous for barbecue sauce? I guess not for Williams Sonoma, whose shiny kitchenware gadgets and Michael Mina fruit relish make you want to fork over some dough.

Trisha Yearwood's new collaboration with the specialty retail chain, which the country star/Food Network host/cookbook author calls her "happy place," is made up of five food items that pay homage to recipes from her family and friends. The product line's featured biscuit mix, for example, is inspired by her father's buttermilk biscuits, and her close friend's drink creation is reproduced in the tropical Summer in a Cup, a cocktail mix.

"When I host a party, I focus on the people, not the necessarily the planning, and this food line provides easy ways to enhance your menu," said Yearwood, who plans to drop by select Williams Sonoma stores throughout the summer (lurk social media, like me, to see if she's making any appearances locally), in a statement.

The stuff sounds tasty don't get me wrong (there's also a seasoning kit for a healthier take on Southern fried chicken and an applewood molasses rub). However, all that's in the $17 cocktail mix is tangerine, cherry and pineapple juices, so why not pick up the ingredients the next time you're at the grocery store and save a bit of money by making it yourself?

Who's really splurging on that apple barbecue sauce instead, anyway? Yeah, you'd probably have to play around with some flavors, considering one of the ingredients listed in the sauce is a super-vague "spices." But if you're the kind of home cook who's comfortable Trisha-fying something from scratch, I say go for it.

In case you're not, though, Williams Sonoma and Yearwood's collab is up online and hits U.S. stores  including the locations at Tampa's International Plaza and Wesley Chapel's Shops at Wiregrass  starting May 19.
