Looks like it won’t be much longer until the Copper Shaker’s second location makes its debut in Ybor City.
The craft cocktail bar and gastropub is set to take over the former space of Flynn’s Retro Bar & Gaming at 1502 E. 7th Ave., across the street from The Ritz Ybor.
The bar specializes in handmade craft cocktails and New American cuisine—allowing locals to shake things up from the surge in breweries in the area.
When it comes to cocktails, the menu is stacked with signature sips like the “Bee Sneeze” made with Farmer’s Organic gin, lemon, honey, apricot preserves and rosemary. Another classically named cocktail is the “Coochi Cutter” comprised of Ford’s gin, Aperol, Cocchi americano, and hopped grapefruit bitters.
If the kitchen mirrors Copper Shaker’s St. Petersburg location (169 1st Ave. N.), we can expect snacks like cauliflower bites, truffle fries, sandos, charcuterie, and flatbreads. Copper Shaker also offers a “The Family You Choose” option, where diners can purchase a meal for an under/unemployed member of the hospitality community for $10.
On August 17, the concept took to social media looking to fill part-time and full-time positions, so look out for more details as an opening date becomes official.
