During its Muvico Centro Ybor screening at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, June 25, Cowspiracy: The Sustainability Secret will outline the environmental impact of large-scale factory farming on the planet.
The Cowspiracy documentary, released last year, doesn't tackle what happens inside factory farms, but it does talk about "why the world's leading environmental organizations are too afraid" to discuss the industry, according to a news release. The film has been compared to 2013's Blackfish and 2006's An Inconvenient Truth.
In order for the one-time screening to happen, a minimum number of tickets must be purchased by moviegoers before Thursday, June 18.
