Gulfport residents have unfortunately lost their go-to spot for “CommuniTea.” In a Facebook post late last week, T and Me Tea Company announced its cozy digs at 2908 1/2 Beach Blvd. S. are closed for good.

“Time to say goodbye y’all! You will be missed!” reads the Nov. 23 post, which includes a photo of the shop’s farewell chalkboard sign (see below).

In May 2010, husband-and-wife team James and Tania Clark started T and Me as a welcoming booth at farmers’ markets across the region. The tea shop’s brick-and-mortar storefront on Beach Boulevard celebrated its grand opening a year later.

T and Me was known for freshly brewed tea and frost tea, aka an iced tea slushy offered in flavors like jasmine and spiced chai. But the place also sold loose-leaf teas, tea sets and other accessories for sale — plus a number of food items, including house-made muffins. CL will definitely miss those cookies, too.
