It's time to taste the gold medal-winning recipe from last year's Beer Project, a pro-am home-brew battle hosted by the Museum of Fine Arts and Green Bench Brewing Co.
Held at the museum's downtown St. Pete headquarters, just like the competition, the Beer Project Winner's Release Party from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday will showcase entrant Matthew McKinnon's Sometimes You Don't milk stout. Vanilla and coconut flavors outfit his Best of Show brew.
Guests will down other locally made beers and eats from vendors like the M-N-M BBQ food truck, as Mountain Holler provides the evening's sounds.
Museum admission, which is $5 after 5 p.m., comes with sample-size pours and access to a beer tasting workshop led by Green Bench's Khris Johnson. The workshops will happen at 6 and 7. Reserve a spot in advance.
