Cycle Brewing is saying goodbye to downtown St. Petersburg after 12 years.

The bike-themed beer maker will not renew the lease on its taproom at 534 Central Ave., brewmaster Doug Dozark announced last Friday.

Dozark said Cycle‘s last day could be anywhere from a week to a month out. Fans of his citra hops Crank IPA will want to grab its very last batch while they can. But Dozark will still be making beer.

St. Pete’s oldest craft brewer will still operate out of its warehouse at 2135 5th Ave. S, and plans to release new brews later this year. Dozark told St. Pete Rising that another taproom could open there as early as this summer, likely with a new name.

“I’m ready for change. I’m ready to learn something new,” Dozark said in Cycle’s social media post. “This old dog can still learn a new trick.”
