According to a release from Motorworks, the duo "procured some aloe and shifted some of the high proof alcohol created from distilling its Pulp Friction Grapefruit IPA to create hand sanitizer."
Beer just might cure all that ales you, apparently.
"We just wanted to do something for the community since people can't get access to [hand sanitzer] right now," Barry Elwonger Director of Sales and Marketing at Motorworks Brewing.
Madelyn and CJ Schmidt of HIT promotional products of Largo donated some funding to begin the manufacturing process. Elwonger explained that the sanitizer is currently in the production process and is projected to be available by Friday.
Before you hop in your car for your squirts, know that the sanitizer will be donated to first responders and nursing homes. The general public can snag one pack of sani (one per person) at Motorworks Brewing. Contact Dark Door Spirits at cheers@darkdoorspirits.com directly for information about pick-up at its location.
The brewery is still able to sell packaged to-go brews amidst the coronavirus fallout; grab some while getting your bottle of hand sanitizer during this pandemic. Motorworks is open from noon-7 p.m. daily at 1014 9th St. W. in Bradenton.
