Dessert and booze. Two great things by themselves (in moderation) and they're even better when combined in a glass and topped with whipped cream and some fancy garnish.

The next time you're in the mood for a sweet cocktail or just prefer a drink over sugary sweets for dessert, have a go at one of these luscious libations. And, if you're not in the mood to feel the full amount of post-indulgence guilt, try them 'lightened up' with lo-cal options.

Dutch Root Beer Float(above)

2 oz. Van Gogh Dutch Caramel Vodka
1 scoop vanilla ice cream
6 oz. chilled root beer

Add the vodka directly to a tall glass, then top with root beer, and lastly the ice cream (add slowly, as it has a tendency to overflow). Garnish with a long straw and enjoy! (To make low-cal, substitute fat-free ice cream and diet root beer.)

Berry Dream (left)

2 oz. Van Gogh Açai-Blueberry Vodka
1 scoop raspberry sorbet
1 tsp. coconut cream
3 oz. milk (soy, skim, or whole)

Add to blender and blend. Pour into hurricane or tall glass. Garnish with coconut flakes and fresh seasonal berries. (To make low-cal, substitute fat-free sorbet and use skim milk.)

Spiced Caramel Apple (below)
2 oz Domaine de Canton ginger liqueur
1 oz Van Gogh Dutch Caramel Vodka
2-1/2 oz Apple cider
1 dash lemon juice

Rim martini glass with agave syrup and crumbled gingersnap cookies at set aside. Add liquid ingredients to a cocktail shaker with ice and shake well. Strain into martini glass.
