On the heels of long-standing downtown St. Petersburg restaurant The Garden announcing it was ending its run, the newer Diner 437 — a few blocks up Central — closed it's doors, effective today, after a brief run.
You'll likely remember the fanatical fervor generated when Diner 437 was announced, with fan-favorite chef Domenica Macchia in the kitchen. (Yeah, we jumped on that bandwagon hard, too.) She left a few months ago to cook down the street at Bella Brava, and Diner 437 continued to suffer from lackluster sales.
