Wondering what to expect from St. Pete Restaurant Weekend? Head to Meet the Chefs: St. Pete, hosted at 3 Daughters Brewing on Thursday, to give your taste buds a little tease.
Six area chefs, all of whom are participating in CL Restaurant Weekend, are set to dish their own small plate selections paired with four-ounce pours of the St. Pete brewery's craft beer. Everything from appetizers to entrees will be up for sampling.
BRGR Kitchen + Bar's Michael von Blomberg will offer grilled Florida black grouper sliders with the Beach Blonde Ale, while beef, pork and veal meatballs with whipped ricotta from Noble Crust's Rob Reinsmith will accompany the Rod Bender Red Ale. The 3 Daughters Cider will complement Johan Everstijn's passion fruit mousse from The Cider Press Café; Red Mesa Restaurant's Chris Fernandez has brisket tostada planned for the Red Mesa Red Ale; beef and veggie Goan patties by Iberian Rooster's Ed Lowery will match with the Stern Line Stout; and the 4 Redemption Barrel Aged Quad is set to go with spiced and seared duck breast from Thomas Golden of The Lure. (Look for another pairing from The Lure as well.)
Meet the Chefs: St. Pete acts as a kickoff to Restaurant Weekend, the mini version of CL's larger Tampa Bay Restaurant Week, which took place over the summer. Tickets to the tasting event can be purchased in advance.
