Do This: Wild things at The Urban

Ready to make, feed and grow your own living thing? A class hosted at The Urban Canning Company’s new Fourth Street digs next week will introduce 14 folks to the history of sourdough bread — no black magic or extensive rituals required.

Led by local fermented bread experts Christina Cann and Brett Wiewiora of Gulf Coast Sourdough & Wild Yeast Breads, participants will create a take-home sourdough starter during this hands-on beginner’s lesson, then walk away with care and baking instructions.

Complimentary bread served with The Urban’s jam and fizzy drinks from Mother Kombucha will also be on hand. Reserve a seat online in advance.
