- Summer beer selection from my diy six-pack.
I love beer but fear that I've fallen into a beer-rut. Too afraid to stray from my classic Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, I've created a cocoon of safety in the hoppy froth. Beer can be intimidating, there are so many genres and flavors. Summer is officially in session so finding some new classic summer brews is necessary.
But where to begin?
Creating your own six-pack is a godsend for the indecisive and adventurous. I ventured down to the local St. Petersburg Rally station, who have an incredible selection of individual bottles.
A summer beer shouldn't be overly taxing to drink, not that beer is taxing to drink ever, but it should be easy. I'm not talking about "drinkability" here folks. In the brutal afternoons of Florida summer, a Guinness Stout probably won't hit the spot. A summer beer should be cool and refreshing.
