Downtown Tampa’s newest restaurant Nojaks has been spreading its motto "No jacks#$!" all over the internet in promotion of its upcoming grand opening, which doesn't have an official date yet.

Slated for a late spring debut, Nojaks is inching closer and closer to opening its doors at 305 E. Polk St. in Tampa. Almost the entire menu at Nojaks will be vegan—about 95% actually, according to one of its owners, Tampa chef Wesley Rodrick.

Rodrick, who's known for his culinary contributions to Seminole Heights' King of the Coop, will open this new fast-casual spot with fellow Tampa Bay chef Anthony Masters, who was the executive sous chef at On Swann.

"Our dream is to create a fast food restaurant with a focus on delivering more value per meal. We will offer delicious burgers alongside local vegetables—all at a great price," Rodrick told Creative Loafing Tampa Bay in a message.

Located in the heart of downtown Tampa, Nojaks will have a world of culinary competition since it's surrounded by restaurants like Siam-Thai, Farmacy Vegan Kitchen & Bakery, The Hungry Greek and Tampa Pizza Company. Nojaks will most likely be the post-happy hour home of a few tipsy (and hungry) patrons from The Hub since the new restaurant and veteran downtown Tampa dive bar are within walking distance of each other.

By the looks of Nojaks' Instagram, the fast-casual spot promotes ethical and low-waste consumption and accessible price points.
