Elevation has been providing the greater Carrollwood area with small-batch espresso and coffee since early 2020, and is now serving Tampa Heights out of its newly-opened second location at 1613 N Franklin St.
The new coffee bar is located inside of the Brave Haus co-working space, and is now open from 7 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday. For now, the Tampa Heights Elevation sells matcha and espresso-based drinks—think hot and cold lattes, cappuccinos and cortados.
Location Details
Elevation makes all of its syrups in-house, as you can flavor your latte with simple, vanilla, mocha or lavender syrup. There are currently two types of milks available—whole and oat—but more options will be offered as the new location transitions to its full menu.
For now, the coffee joint’s only employee is Demi Chacon, a veteran barista and co-owner of the new Tampa-based coffee pop-up Now and Then.
And although Elevation’s new customers can’t hang out in the Brave Haus space, they can occupy Elevation’s few tables both inside and outside. An exclusive outdoor patio space is also in the works.
Mitchell tells Creative Loafing Tampa Bay that there are a lot of exciting things in the works for their newest location. Caffeine freaks can expect an exclusive Elevation coffee club soon—an after-hours gathering where members can preview its newest beans.
“You know some people don’t think that coffee should be treated the same way as whiskey or wine, and I disagree with them,” Mitchell says. “Most of the time it has more distinct notes than alcohol does—coffee has the potential to be a culinary powerhouse.”
Mitchell tells CL that a third Elevation location will eventually open in Lutz, but you can follow its Instagram and Facebook, both at @elev8coffee., for the latest updates.
Elevation joins other locally-owned coffee shops in Tampa Heights including Cafe Hey, Magnanimous Coffee and The Portico Cafe—a business that helps people transition from homelessness and addiction by giving them job training and employment.
