What happens when a twist on a classic cocktail and a summertime beach beer combine? Mastry's Brewing Co.'s first bottle release: Island Lime Margarita Gose.
According to a statement from Mastry's CEO Matt Dahm, many regulars have been asking for a bottle release since the St. Pete Beach craft brewery opened. The new 'rita-style ale, made in partnership with local artist and apparel brand Hunter Skipper, begins with a tart wheat beer. Florida Pure Sea Salt and fresh limes are then added, and voila! The result is a refreshing brew that speaks to the flavor of St. Pete Beach, and would probably make for a good shower beer as well.
An unveiling party for the small-batch Island Lime Margarita Gose and its limited-release bottles is planned for the tasting room at 5 p.m. May 13. More details on the celebration will be announced in the coming weeks.
