Opening day for Kahwa Coffee’s first cafe outside of Tampa Bay was March 21. And where has the latest location from the local roastery popped up?

Miami Beach.

The 305 marks the 13th location for Kahwa, which launched in St. Petersburg in 2006. But it’s not unfamiliar territory for founders Sarah and Raphael Perrier, as their coffee is served in several Miami spots, including the COMO Metropolitan hotel and James Beard Award-winning chef Michelle Bernstein's Crumb on Parchment.

The new cafe features a coffee and espresso bar, alongside freshly roasted Kahwa. Prepared foods and baked goods are also sourced from locals, including James Beard semifinalist Zak the Baker. Menu items include quiche and breakfast sandwiches.

“Having been a part of Miami’s restaurant scene for several years now, we’ve been looking for right the opportunity to open a cafe,” said Raphael in a statement. “We’re not only thrilled to be in Miami, we’re honored for the opportunity.”
