The fourth creation of the Bula Kava Bar & Coffee House family, Bula Kavananda, should open any day now at 5803 N. Florida Ave. in Seminole Heights according to the joint's social media account.
The Bula Family will serve kava, coffee and a variety of botanical teas as they hope to spread plant medicine awareness and The BULA TRIBE community way of life.
Kava is an ancient plant derived from the South Pacific Islands that has been used for its relaxing effect, so Bula Kavananda is matching that vibe with its decor which looks to be neutral colors and comfortable seating.
If you've never had kava before, the first one is on the house. Time to relax in the Heights.
Until then, feel free to swing by the other two local locations to get your kava fix — Bula Kafe in St. Petersburg or Bula on the Beach in Madeira.
