The new Florida-Caribbean concept, 'Floribbean,' is officially slinging fusion bowls in the former Urban Catering & Events space at 2410 Central Ave. in St. Pete's Grand Central District.
Floribbean cuisine is a mix of Caribbean and Floridian cooking techniques with an emphasis on fresh, locally-sourced ingredients.
Offering strictly counter service, Floribbean offers build-your-own-bowls, tropical juices and craft brews. Although you can cater your bowl to your diet (vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free) if you have the flexibility to try a signature bowl, Florribean's menu includes combinations, like the Sweet Heat Havana with Cuban-style pork, ginger-lime black beans, mango quinoa, plantains and jerk aioli.
The menu also offers extras like lime-dusted blue corn tortilla chips and avocado salad, and sides including sofritos, curtido slaw and or a chipotle sweet potato.
The joint's eats are also available on UberEats, so you can get your loaded bowls delivered to your couch or your desk.
Hours are 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
