At least 16 Bay area chefs will mix with other chefs from around the country during the food and football collision that is Taste of the Championship.
Scheduled for 7 to 10 p.m. Jan. 8 (the day before the 2017 College Football Playoff National Championship hits Tampa's Raymond James Stadium), Taste of the Championship will feature gourmet dishes and drinks from local favorites like Ava, The Refinery, Haven and Mise en Place, plus restaurants based in several college football towns, at The Florida Aquarium.
Former college football stars will also be chowing down alongside guests throughout the evening, hosted by the Tampa Bay Sports Commission and College Football Playoff to benefit Extra Yard for Teachers.
General admission tickets, which cost $250, are available for purchase online.
