Tickets are on sale for Sarasota's Forks & Corks University at Michael's on East Saturday, Jan. 24. The event's interactive wine seminars are hosted in conjunction with the Eighth Annual Forks & Corks Food & Wine Festival, which runs Jan. 23 to Jan. 26.
Wine enthusiasts will register for full- or half-day "university" seminars, led by renowned vino gurus from places like Italy and Oregon, that kick off at 9:30 a.m. It costs $95 for a full day of wine sipping, and $60 for a half.
Focused on pinot noir, Italian wine and cabernet sauvignon topics, the discussions will happen inside the ballroom and wine cellar of Michael's at 1212 S. East Ave.
Both seminars include a four-course lunch with wine pairings.
Though the four-day food and wine fest's Grand Tasting is sold out, drinkers may still attend the various vintner events being held at participating area restaurants and retail shops on Jan. 23 and 24.
