Beverage nerds are encouraged to go back in time with Bacardi mixologist Debbi Peak during Cocktails Through Time, which is a few hours away from taking place in Tampa.
Hosted between 7 and 9 p.m. Thursday at SoHo's Epicurean Hotel, this boozy workshop, led by Peak, discusses legendary cocktails of yesteryear that're still celebrated by bartenders today. Because they're delicious.
Attendees should look forward to making — and tasting — their way around a quartet of modern sippers, each of which are inspired by their classic counterparts and paired with canapés. The welcome cocktail, a cucumber gimlet, is a nod to the 1867 gimlet, while a blackberry daiquiri (1902 daiquiri), the Garden Mule (1946 Moscow Mule) and a cold brew and tonic (1998 espresso martini) round out the evening.
Find tickets online. They cost $50 each.
