The Clearwater agri-tourism venue and zoo hosts its first-ever Sangria Festival in September.
David Koning started DK Farms and Gardens with 3,000 potted plants in his backyard in 2014. After gaining more knowledge and experience, Koning decided to build an official nursery. He ended up having to sell and start over, and in 2017, he created the DK Farms and Gardens that the public visits today. That also includes a petting zoo with animals like cows, ponies, silky chickens, Capybaras and Highland Cows.
Sangrias at the festival will be crafted with wines from Aspirations Winery, a family-owned boutique winery in Clearwater. Mini golf and photo opps are also promised.
Tickets start at $10 for DK Farmsโ Sangria Festival happening Friday-Saturday, Sept. 26-27 in Clearwater.
