As a thank you to their customers through the years — all 105 of them — Alessi Bakery is taking the prices back to 1912. Starting at 7 a.m. Oct. 7 and 9 a.m. Oct. 8, the Tampa institution, known for specialty desserts and deli favorites, rolls back the cost of several beloved menu items in honor of its anniversary.
Patrons can get in on 39-cent coconut macaroons and brownies, as well as 49-cent eclairs and guava pastries. (Regularly, the bakery's eclairs are $1.95 each, to give you an idea of the difference.) There's even a $4-off deal on 7-inch specialty cakes in store.
If you can't wait till then to snag discounted sweets from Alessi, stop by next week for National Bakery Day. Customers, who're invited to peruse special treats and deals throughout the food holiday, receive a complimentary cookie bag and can also sign up for other giveaways, including a free gift basket — full of baked goodness no doubt.
