It’s been a year since a Seminole Heights-sized miracle occurred, when two real estate hotshots bought a historic building and didn’t tear it down for more ugly, unaffordable apartments.

Realtors Frank Albert and Chris Brown got a 10-year lease on old Florida Drive-In, carrying on the legacy of the convenience store run by its previous tenant for four decades.

The twist: Heights Drive-Thru has surprisingly good soft serve and coffee, along with all the junk food, alcohol, and an expanded section of random crap one might need at a convenience store pit stop. Plus, freaky collectables and goods from other local businesses, all of which earned it a Best of the Bay critics’ pick in 2025.

This weekend’s anniversary bash is, of course, a drive-thru party and includes free mini soft serves for all, free samples, and chances to win more prizes.

There is no cover for the Heights Drive-Thru 1 Year Anniversary Bash happening Saturday, June 13 in Tampa.
