We’ve been eager for the arrival of Asian-fusion restaurant and cocktail bar Shibui for months, especially since its initial opening date of fall 2019 was postponed until early 2020. It looks like the downtown Tampa eatery is finally making waves in its opening process, as Shibui is now hiring a front of house manager, according to an Instagram post.
Shibui is the brainchild of notable celebrity chef Fabio Viviani and Nocturnal Hospitality Group—the team that brought downtown Tampa Mole Y Abuela and Osteria in 2019.
Shibui’s Instagram and Facebook have been continuously updating its ravenous Tampa Bay fanbase on its future menu, posting pictures of dishes like lechon Porchetta, tempura prawns, pork ribs Adobo and kimchi fried rice.
From the looks of those dishes alone, the Shibui hype is well deserved. With the hiring process for the elevated restaurant already underway, downtown Tampa is one step closer to getting its newest Asian-fusion restaurant and cocktail bar.
Along with sneak peeks of its menu, the brains behind Shibui consistently post on social media that it will open soon— although a grand-opening date has yet to be announced.
