This weekend, Gaspar's Grotto will be the latest Bay area dining destination to have appeared on Food Paradise.

The Travel Channel series, which stops into must-visit eateries around the country, has highlighted Nitally's, Bern's Steak House, Datz, Five Bucks Drinkery and Frenchy's Rockaway Grill in the past. Its upcoming "Hog Heaven"-themed episode is set to spotlight a favorite at Gaspar's: the Cuban sandwich.

The Ybor City restaurant and bar plans to host a free watch party in honor of the segment that airs at 8 p.m. Sunday, featuring a big screen, complimentary samples of its Cubano and beer for patrons while supplies last.

"The staff had a ball filming this show," owner Eric Schiller said in a statement. "We are all very proud of what our core principles of quality, fun and guest experience, first and foremost, have produced at Gaspar's Grotto and it's a treat for us to show off in front of the nation again."

Gaspar's also made it onto the What the Fung?! show on the A&E Network's FYI channel in May last year.
