A new, chicken-focused concept, Tender Shack, is now available in Tampa Bay for delivery, except the food actually comes from local Carrabba’s Italian Grill locations.

According to Tampa Bay Business Journal, Tender Shack, whose slogan is “Dang good chicken,” will operate out of Carrabba’s locations across Tampa Bay, and will be exclusively available for delivery through the third-party app DoorDash.

“It’s an extension of our off-premises business as people continue to seek new and flavorful options through delivery,” Bloomin’ spokeswoman Cathie Koch told TBBJ.

Tender Shack’s DoorDash page actually shows zero affiliation with the Italian chain, other than the parent company, Bloomin’ Brands logo and delivery address is the same as the Carraba’s on N. Dale Mabry in Carrollwood. Koch told the publication that the new concept will be available throughout Tampa Bay.

Currently, there are eleven Carrabba’s Italian Grill locations in the area.

The menu features “Nashville Hot AF” and “Dang Good Seasoned” chicken tenders and sandwiches. Along with fries, customers can also choose from six different dipping sauces including buttermilk ranch which the menu calls “ranch but with a kick” and the “spiced just right” Tender Shack sauce.

Tender Shack’s parent company Bloomin’ Brands Inc. also owns restaurants like Bonefish Grill and Outback Steakhouse.

You can order Tender Shack via DoorDash from 10 a.m.-11 p.m. daily.

Tender Shack now joins a crowded chicken restaurant turf war in Tampa Bay. Along with local staples like King of the Coop and Flock and Stock, this past summer saw the debut of new spots like Chicky Chicky Bang Bang, The Hatchery, Chick’nCone and Hoots.
