Pinellas Park recently gained its latest authentic Japanese spot with the newly-opened Sam’s Sushi in Park Place plaza.
Nuzzled in between Regal Cinemas and Coldstone Creamery, this Japanese-fusion restaurant quietly opened on October 8 and has all of the expected made-to-order sushi rolls, fresh seaweed salads, bento boxes, and vegan options. Sam's will soon offer beef, chicken, and seafood pho, as well.
Sam’s Sushi also carries a hefty beer and wine selection, alongside hot and cold sake, of course.
Owners and operators Sam and Thonyah Philavanh recently moved to the Tampa Bay area from Minnesota with the hopes of opening a sushi restaurant—and they’ve definitely succeeded.
Sam’s Sushi is now open 11:30 p.m- 10 p.m Monday through Thursday, 11:30 a.m- 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and noon to 10 p.m. on Sunday, located at 7210 US Hwy 19 N. in Pinellas Park.
