Late last month we spotted a hiring sign outside of five-time James Beard Award semifinalist chef Jeannie Pierola's third concept, Counter Culture, located at 2909 W. Bay to Bay Blvd.

According to an interview with TBBJ, Pierola is shooting to open the doors by early December, but not all at once.

Counter Culture will open with dinner service seven days a week and brunch on Saturday and Sunday, Pierola said. Initially, Counter Culture was supposed to debut as a breakfast, lunch, dinner and weekend brunch concept, but Pierola is holding back breakfast and lunch offerings for now.

"We'll add it on as we get our legs under us," Pierola told the publication. "We’re not trying to do it all at once."

Two additional private dining rooms are also currently under construction in addition to the 3,700-square-foot restaurant featuring a 14-foot wood-fired grill customized with wood-fired oven and cast-iron plancha stations. Counter Culture also has roll-up garage doors line the front of the concept, creating an indoor-outdoor full-liquor bar when raised (let's hope these cooler temps stick around for a bit longer).

More details to come when an official opening date is announced.
