Ybor City’s iconic La Segunda Bakery is expanding into St. Petersburg this fall with a third location at 2436 4th St. N in the city’s new Holiday Plaza.

A news release says the new location measures just over 1,800-square-feet and can be found in between Grain & Berry and Amazing Lash in the plaza. This location is smaller than the two Tampa ones, but it’s still enough to house 40 indoor seats along with a pet-friendly patio and 40 more outdoor seats.

The Ybor City bakery just celebrated its 106th birthday, making it one of the oldest and most-celebrated flagships in the city. While the Ybor location is known for the cuban bread it supplies to restaurants around town, the St. Pete location is going to focus more on delivery, catering and grab-and-go orders.

Celebrated among 2020’s top 100 bakeries in America, La Segunda is bringing its cuban sandwiches to St. Pete, along with Italian cookies, guava-cheese turnovers and cafe con leche.

An opening is expected this fall when the business' hours will be 6:30 a.m.-3 p.m.
